Hello, and Welcome!
As a dedicated community advocate, parent, and education champion, I am running for the Chico Unified School District Board because I believe every child in the Chico area deserves an exceptional, safe, and supportive public education. Our schools are the heart of our community, and by investing in our students, we build a brighter future for all of us.
My campaign focuses on listening to families, supporting our hardworking educators, and ensuring fiscal accountability to keep resources where they matter most—in the classroom.
I am a parent of a school-age kiddo, scientist, union steward, and community volunteer. As a former Chico science teacher and then your CUSD Board Trustee from 2020-2024, I have a long track record of making decisions based on evidence-based reasoning, creative problem-solving, and engaging in the school-home-community partnership to ensure our schools meet the diverse needs of our students, families, and staff under ever-changing circumstances.
Thank you for your consideration, and please remember to vote by or on November 3, 2026.

Are you in Trustee Area 5?
In 2022, the CUSD Board voted to adopt Trustee-area voting and split the CUSD boundary into five distinct areas. Although this creates some opportunity for hyper-local representation across various regions, the Trustees must still make sound decisions for all of the Chico area's students as a whole body. Trustee Area 5 includes Pleasant Valley High School, Marsh Junior High School, and Loma Vista, Marigold, Little Chico Creek elementary schools as well as the CUSD-authorized public charter schools within the area-- Forest Ranch Charter School, Achieve Charter School of Chico, the newly opened campus for Inspire School of Arts and Sciences, and the future Blue Oak Charter School site. Area 5 also contains the former campus of Cohasset Elementary School, which closed in 2008.
